Novelics and Synopsys, Inc., the market leader in IC design software and a dominant player in semiconductor circuit IP, are engaged in a product distribution and technology joint development partnership. Through this partnership, Synopsys’ reach in the marketplace is leveraged to market and support the Novelics products on a worldwide basis. Synopsys offers the Novelics SRAM-1T and family of SRAM-6T embedded memory IP as part of the Synopsys DesignWare® IP portfolio. These products are available today through Novelics online memory compiler that is run from Synopsys’ website.
Synopsys and Novelics are also deeply engaged in joint development of future products around the Novelics technology at all levels. The Novelics and Synopsys technology organizations are developing memory compiler products and silicon qualification methodologies for multiple types of memory technologies, all in bulk CMOS processes. Synopsys’ years of experience as the industry leader in delivering complex mixed-signal silicon IP products are being leveraged to rapidly create silicon qualified compiler product solutions around Novelics’ advanced memory circuits. It is expected that the partnership will offer production solutions for the major semiconductor foundry process nodes by the end of 2008.
