Overview

Novelics is a privately-held company founded in 2005 whose mission is to revolutionize embedded memory technology to achieve optimum power, density, speed, reliability and cost for low-power and high-performance ASIC, ASSP, and SoC designs. Its differentiated memory IPs are implemented with the standard logic CMOS process with no additional masks or process steps to minimize cost and to maximize reliability and portability. Novelics’ customers compete in low-power consumer, wireless, high-speed computing, industrial, and networking applications.

For years, only a small portion of the typical semiconductor chip was comprised of memory circuits. Today, demands for ever-increasing performance and features are being placed upon semiconductor manufacturers by the electronics industry. The need for larger and more diverse on-chip memories is becoming increasingly important to achieve performance requirements and to reduce system power consumption.

System-on-chip (SoC) designers are seeking solutions for reducing the power consumption and silicon area of semiconductors while simultaneously increasing the overall performance, reliability and security of the resulting system. The enhanced embedded memory products from Novelics meet this criterion.

Novelics’ innovative memory designs are expected to have far-reaching effects throughout the electronics industry. The memory's faster speeds, lower power and reduced leakage will translate into electronic devices that are less expensive, physically smaller, run cooler, have longer battery life and are lighter weight.
